The layout of any solitaire game consists of three areas: the foundation, the tableau, and the stock. The object of the game is to remove all of the cards from the stock and tableau to the foundations in suit and sequence, usually from Ace to King.
They play requires building the tableau from the stock in sequence so depending on the Solitaire game you are playing, you will be moving cards from the Ace to the King (The Order: A,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,J,Q,K) or you will move the cards in a certain order. For instance, you might be moving cards by suit (hearts, spades, etc.) or by rank (refer to the order). First you have to look at all of your cards in your tableau which contains all of your playing cards. Look at the cards facing up and try to play them. If you can't play them, you will need to pull out a card from your stock (basically a pile of cards waiting to be used in the playing area). Once your stock is gone, you will have to try and move all of the cards from the tableau to the foundation. Once the foundation is filled, you win the game!
